In the spirit of full disclosure, I know this author personally. (No, I am not his mother, just a long time friend). That has kept me from posting a review. However, I have always been impressed with his creativity with stories, and his ability to write intelligent, informed, well researched complex science fiction books. I have been encouraging him in his desire to publish. I helped proof the text and provide feedback on the cover and formatting of this book. I've read every word and found the story so engaging that I would forget i was supposed to be proofing and have to go back!This is only the first one published. Frankly, sci-fi is not my preference in fiction, and this book is light on the sci-fi elements, except for Enoch ... but this book leads to many others that will be much more sci-fi and have creative and complex plots, with recurring characters across the series.

This is G.D. Kessler's first published novel. His writing has energy and enthusiasm that makes the reader want to turn the pages. His plotting is intricate on the order of the author Lee Child. His writing style is professional and the editing is excellent. However, there is too much praying and the "thanking of Jesus/God" for my mainstream tastes, but I still recommend this to anybody who wants a good read.
